Doboj – Tvrđava u Doboju / The Fort in Doboj

Srednjovjekovna tvrđava u Doboju izgrađena je u 13. vijeku, na uzvisini iznad ušća rijeka Usore i Spreče, ispod koje se razvila varoš i današnji grad Doboj. Pronađeni su ostaci nakita sa groblja na rijeci Usori i keramički predmeti kod južne kule tvrđave, te ostaci osmanskih spisa. Od 15. pa do kraja 17. vijeka bila je pod osmanskom vlašću. Krajem 17. vijeka tvrđavu je zauzeo austrijski vojskovođa Eugen Savojski, gdje po njegovom odlasku Osmanlije ponovo uspostavljaju vlast. Krajem 15. vijeka izvršeni su značajni građevinski radovi na utvrđenju tvrđave, a krajem 19. vijeka Austrougarska je uspjela uspostaviti vlast. Danas ova tvrđava pruža dobre turističke sadržaje, s replikama starih oružja i antikviteta iz srednjeg vijeka.

Refugij u selu Makljenovac kod Doboja

Kasnoantički refugij izgrađen je na 30 m visokom brijegu u selu Makljenovac koje je doživjelo svoj procvat krajem 2. i početkom 3. vijeka. Refugiji su građeni u svrhu zaštite i skrivanja napadnutog stanovništva. U blizini kasnoantičkog refugija nalazio se i rimski vojni logor.

The middle age fort in Doboj was built in the 13th century, on a mound, above the delta of rivers Usora and Spreča, below which a borough developed and the modern-day Doboj. Remains of jewellery were found in the graveyard near the Usora river and ceramic items near the south fort tower as well as Ottoman scripts. From the 15th until the 17th century it was under Ottoman rule. At the end of the 17th century the fort was conquered by the Austrian duke Eugen Savojski and after his departure the Ottomans regained dominion over it. At the end of the 15th century there were significant construction activities in strengthening the fort and at the end of the 19th century the Austro-Hungarians succeeded in establishing their rule over it. Today this fort is interesting for tourists and has replicas of old weapons and antiquities from the Middle Ages.

Refugiumin the village of Makljenovac near Doboj

The Late Antiquityrefugium was built on a 30m high hillock in the Makljenovac village which flourished at the end of the 2nd and beginning of the 3rd century. Refugiums were built to protect and hide the citizens from attack. Near the Late Antiquityrefugium there was also a Roman military camp.
