Daorson – Ošanjići kod Stoca / Ošanjići near Stolac

Daorson je naselje Ilirskog plemena iz 4. vijeka p.n.e koje se nalazi u Ošanjićima koje su udaljene 3 kilometra od Stoca. Ovo naselje bilo je pod jakim utjecajem grčke civilizacije. Ovaj grad činile su tri cjeline gdje se u središnjem dijelu nalazila tvrđava – akropola, dugački odbrambeni zid i vrata i tornjevi na rubnim dijelovima naselja. Danas su vidljivi ostaci kiklopskih zidova u vidu ogromnih kamenih blokova. Ovo naselje je iz perioda željeznog doba, u kojem su izrađivani metalni predmeti, gdje je pronađen grčko-ilirski novac s natpisom ”Daorson”. Naselje je primjer grčko-ilirskih veza, gdje preko grčkih kolonija Grci u BiH uspostavljaju privredne veze sa Ilirima.

Daorson is a town of an Illyrian tribe from the 4th century located in Ošanjići which is 3 kilometers far from Stolac. This town was under a strong influence of Greek civilization. The town consisted of three parts where the middle part is the fort – acropolis, with a long defensive wall and gates and towers on the edges of the town. Today there are large stone blocks which are the remains of Cyclops walls. This town is from the Iron Age during which metal objects were manufactured and where Greek-Illyrian coins were found with the name “Daorson”. This town is an example of Greek and Illyrian ties where through Greek colonies the Greeks make contact with Illyrians in what is the current territory of B&H.
