Rimski most se nalazi u neselju Plandište.
Ilidža is part of the Sarajevo canton at a distance of about 10 kilometers from the center of the city. From the Neolithic period there are important remains called the Butmir culture. It is considered to have emerged about 4000 years ago in the fertile valley of the river Željeznica around the neighborhood of Zemunica. Until the present day there are remains of important Butmir ceramics. The bath neighborhood (colony Aqua S) dates from the 1stuntil the 5th century where the Aquae was a common name of Roman towns and municipalities.
There is aninscription dedicated to Apollo in Lužani Ilidža with symbolic attributes of light and healing. In the middle of the previous century a Roman villa was discovered with a preserved mosaic of square shape where in the central part there is a portrait of a woman which probably symbolizes a nymph. Other mosaics with geometric and animal motives were also discovered.
The Roman bridge is located in the neighborhood of Plandište. It was built from stone in the 16th century across the river Bosnia.
During the Austro-Hungarian period the hotels Igman, Hungaria, Austria and Bosnia were built as well as the the Velika Aleja (Long alley) and many paths for walking.
