Glavna kasnoantička utvrda izgrađena je u 4. vijeku sa elementima grčkog građevinarstva, helenističke tradicije. Nalazila se u blizini grada Diluntuma. U 17. vijeku je imao 13 kula i bio je najbolje utvrđen grad. Grad Vidoški prvi put se spominje sredinom 15. vijeka, kao posjed Stjepana Vukčića Kosače. U osmankom periodu dograđena je kula, a u austrougarskom periodu, krajem 19. vijeka, izgrađena je kasarna.
The main fort from the Late Antiquity period was built in the 4th century with elements of the Greek, Hellenistic construction tradition. It was near the town of Diluntum. In the 17th century it had 13 towers and was the best fortified town. The Vidoški town is first mentioned in the middle of the 15th century as an estate of Stjepan Vukčić Kosaća. During the Ottoman period an additional tower was built and in the Austro-Hungarian period at the end of the 19th century a barracks was built.
