Istanbul – Zmijski stub / Serpent Column (Yılanlı Sütun)

Yılanlı Sütun (Zmijski stub) Izgrađen je 478. godine p.n.e. u spomen na pobjede Grčke vojske nad Perzijskim carstvom u bici kod Plateje, koja se desila 479. p.n.e.  Stub je 324. godine prenio Konstantin I iz Delfija u tadašnji Konstantinopolj.

Yılanlı Sütun (Serpent Column) was built in 478 BC as a memorial to the victory of the Greeks over the Persians in the battle of Plataea, which took place in 479 BC. The column was relocated in 324 BC by Constantine I from Dephi to present day Constantinople.
