Izgrađena je u 15. vijeku. Za vrijeme bombardovanja tokom Drugog svjetskog rata toranj je uništen, a obnovljen je 1956. godine po izvornom projektu. S tornja se pruža predivan pogled na grad i korito rijeke Arno.
Pisa Citadel was built in 15th century. During the bombardments in World War II, the tower was destroyed. In 1956 it was reconstructed according to the original project. The tower provides a magnificent view of the city and the river Arno.
