Gazi Husrev-begova medresa (Kuršumli medresa), biblioteka i Hanikah osnovane su kao zadužbina Gazi Husrev-bega, vladara bosanskog sandžaka. Biblioteka je u početku bila u okviru medrese, a nakon toga u dva navrata je mijenjala svoju lokaciju, da bi se od 2013. godine preselila u novu modernu zgradu (pored Kuršumli medrese). Danas se u biblioteci nalazi preko 100.000 naslova
Gazi Husrev-bey’s Madrasa (Kuršumli medresa), Library and Hanikah founded as the endowment of Gazi Husrev-bey the Ottoman governor of the Bosnian Sandžak. The library was initially part of the medresa (school) and afterwards it was relocated twice so that in 2013 it was moved to the new modern building next to the Kuršumli medresa. Today there are over 100.000 titles in the library.
