Cestijeva piramida
Izgrađena je u peirodu od 18. do 12. p.n.e. U unutrašnjosti se nalazi grobnica Gaja Cestija Epulona (Caio Cestio Epulone), rimskog namjesnika i člana velike vjerske organizacije u Rimu – Septemviri Epulonum (Red sveštenika).
U produžetku piramide je protenstantsko groblje u kojem su sahranjeni neki od velikana svjetske književnosti (John Keats i Percy Bysshe Shelley), a ispod njega je groblje u koje su sahranjeni britanski vojnici, koji su dali svoje živote za vrijeme Drugog Svjetskog rata.
Pyramid of Cestius
It was built in peirod from 18 to 12 B.C. Inside is a tomb of Caius Cestius Epulon (Caio Cestio Epulon), the Roman governor and member of the major religious organizations in Rome – Septemviri Epulonum (Order of priests).
Next to the pyramid is protestant cemetery in which are buried some of the greats of world literature (John Keats and Percy Bysshe Shelley), and below is a cemetery in which were buried British soldiers who lost their lives during the World War II.
