Vilsonovo šetalište zove se po predsjedniku Amerike Thomas Woodrow Wilsonu koji je 1917. godine objavio rat Njemačkoj, a time i naznačio kraj moćne Austrougarske monarhije.
Wilson’s promenade is named after the former American president Thomas Woodrow Wilson who in 1917 declared war upon Germany and in this way marked the end of the powerful Austro-Hungarian monarchy.
