Hutovo blato II (Natural Park)

Hutovo blato kao iznimno stanište za brojne biljne i životinjske vrste spominje se od davnina. U sklopu ornito-faunističkog rezervata 1959. god. izdvojen je strogi ptičiji rezervat Škrka (350 ha), zatvoren za ribarenje, lov i druge ekonomski isplative aktivnosti. Zbog svog međunarodnog značaja, “Hutovo blato” je 1971. god. uvršteno u “Popis močvara od međunarodnog značaja”, a 1980. god. uvršteno je u “Međunarodni projekat za zaštitu mediteranskih močvara”. Šumska i livadska vegetacija zastupljene su brojnim karakterističnim vrstama koje upotpunjuju biološku raznolikost Hutova blata.

Hutovo blato has been mentioned from long ago as exceptional habitat for many animal and plant species. In 1959., severe bird reserve „Škrka“ (350ha) was separated from ornitho-fauna nature reserve, closed for fishing, hunting and other economically useful activities. In 1971. Hutovo blato was registered on the „List of the Swamps of International Meaning“ and in 1980. it was signed in „Internatinal Project for Mediterranean Swamp Protection“, due to its international importance. Wood and meadow vegetation are represented by many characteristic species which supplement biological diversity of Hutovo blato.
